DON PAPA Rum

New products

Don Papa rum was launched in 2012, inspired by the charismatic leader Papa Isio, who in the 19th century at the end led revolutionary struggles for independence. This long-aged rum reflects the spirit of Negros Occidental in the Philippines, an area popularly known as SUGARLANDIA.

The Philippine archipelago is an island nation in Southeast Asia located in the western Pacific Ocean. Consisting of 7,107 islands, the Philippines is rich in natural resources and some of the world’s greatest biodiversity hotspots.

The main variety of sugar cane grown on the island of Negros is caña morada or purple cane. It is smaller and thinner than most sugarcane varieties but has a high sucrose purity and low fiber content, and is of high quality, particularly suitable for rum production.
