Dalwhinnie whisky thrives in extreme conditions – it is made in the highest and coldest distillery in Scotland, which was founded at the end of the 19th century. Dalwhinnie uses wonderfully clean water extracted from a lake at 2000 feet above the sea level. True to its location, the name derives from the Gaelic for ‘a meeting place of sheep and cattle drovers’. Dalwhinnie 15 years old – it‘s the elegant and smooth taste single malt whisky with a light, fruity palate, notes of heather and vanilla, with a smoky, peaty aftertaste. Whisky taste is soft and sweet, reminding of honey and flowers. Yellow heather is a national flower of Scotland, which smells similar to wild strawberries and wet grass. Dalwhinnie is a single malt whsiky maturated for 15 years in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
