Lagavulin 12 Y.O. single malt whisky maturation was finished in Don Julio Añejo tequila casks. Finished in tequila casks, this whisky balances the distillery’s iconic coastal peat and juicy fruit with layers of bright citrus and herbal smoke.
Lagavulin 12 Y.O. whisky aroma is more maritime with darkly fruity notes, making the intense smokiness yet more aromatic.
This single malt taste is sweet at first and citrus-like, then reveals notes of salt and juicy plum. Finish is long, with a salty tang and finishing very smoky, with just a hint of that light meatiness in a smoky aftertaste.
Lagavulin 12 Y.O. single malt label was inspired by the ancient Mesoamerican art of tattoo, with each work of art a tale of histories on a living canvas.
