0 reviews

Maison Champy is the oldest wine company in Burgundy boasting a history dating back to 1720. The winery, which has been declared a historic monument by UNESCO, was designed by the famed architect, Gustave Eiffel and sits above an ancient 15th-century Jacobin monk cellar, where the wines are aged in the heart of Beaune. The Pernand-Vergelesses vineyards stretch over the hilly slopes between Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune. This locality is one of the oldest vineyards of Burgundy: it was planted in 1158 by the monks of the Abbaye de Maizières.

Red dry wine from France, burgundy region. It is made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The vineyards of this village are the oldest in the Burgundy region, they were planted by the monks back in 1158. The wine is aged in an oak barrel for 12 months.

Dark pomegranate color, cherry and red Serbian aroma with hints of vanilla. When tasting, the light sweetness and sourness of cherries is felt, the tannins are mild, with a long berryy aftertaste. Suitable with pasta and meat sauce dishes, octopus, tuna and duck dishes.
