Podere San Cristoforo was founded in 1901 by a family of farmers that carefully selected this land for its ideal vine growing conditions: the vineyard’s fresh and stony soils - the result of foliation from the mineral-bearing hills of Gavorrano - and the constant marine breezes are crucial to the healthy ripening of the grapes. Diligent viticulture is essential here: we are dedicated to the biodynamic management of the soil and of the leaf canopy. We maintain an emphasis on low yields, a great deal of manual labour and the minimal use of technology.
